Linehan Artist

The Linehan Artist Scholars Program is for talented students who distinguish themselves both academically and artistically through their craft.

Linehan invites students pursuing their art among the dance, music, theatre or visual arts field  to apply and receive:

  • Support from faculty to help scholars customize their academic schedules and find internship and research opportunities;
  • Frequent attendance at performances and exhibits, workshops, digital story telling workshops, grant writing and making artworks.
  • Semester trips to performances and important museums in New York, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.
  • Research opportunities through the Linehan Summer Research and Study Award.
  • Priority acceptance to live in the Visual and Performing Arts Living Learning Community;
  • A Linehan Artist Scholar scholarship and more!

Priority Deadline: January 15

The Linehan application will require that you have your UMBC Campus ID. Your Campus ID will be sent approximately five to seven business days after you have submitted your Common Application to UMBC. We strongly encourage you to complete your undergraduate admissions package before November 1. This includes submission of your Common Application, high school transcript, and standardized test score results.
