The Scholarship Unit is able to assist you throughout the awarding process.

1. Set Up:

Set Up Awards

  • Request New Item Type – If your chart string has not been assigned, you must contact our office and include your Department, Name of Award, and Chartstring Number to request Item New Item Type creation by our staff.
    • Note: Set-up may take up to 3 weeks. This is processed through IT and Student Business Services. This request may take 5-10 business days, depending upon the time of the year. Ideally, all requests should be submitted at least 30 days before bills are due.
  • Scholarship Retriever Department Request Form – Use this form to request to build new scholarship opportunities in Scholarship Retriever

Disbursement

Disbursement of awards to student accounts occurs every Tuesday. Unfortunately the Scholarship Unit cannot assist in the completion of USM disbursement request forms or ACH wires, please see below.

Reimbursement

Unfortunately the Scholarship Unit cannot assist in the reimbursement process, Journal Entry (JE), etc. please see below.
